MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Prosecutors say a teenager accused of shooting a woman in the face in June has been charged as an adult.

The Mobile County Attorney’s office told local news media that 15-year-old Michael Williams is the second teen charged as an adult in the investigation along with 16-year-old Isaiah Kelly, who was arrested in July. Williams is accused of shooting 26-year-old Maria Williamson before she was ambushed by a group of males at a stoplight.

Police say one of the attackers fired a shot into the vehicle, striking Williamson in the face.

Williams and Kelly are each charged with attempted murder, shooting into a vehicle and first-degree robbery.

Four other juveniles have been arrested in connection to the incident. Names of those juveniles have not been released.
