SEATTLE (AP) - Washington highway and bridge tolls will be going up - or down - on Thanksgiving, depending on the roadway traveled.

KIRO Radio reports (https://is.gd/bZavIC ) Tolls on Interstate 405 and State Route 167 express lanes are determined by traffic volume. Since traffic is expected to increase on Thanksgiving, drivers should expect tolls to go up as well. The good news is that car pools are considered just two drivers on the holiday on Interstate 405, so that might help some drivers avoid higher tolls.

Tolls on the 520 Bridge and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge will be on holiday schedule, so those rates will go down for Thanksgiving. They will go back up to regular rates on Friday.

Visitors can add their license plate numbers to a family member’s account to save money on tolls.
