FARGO, N.D. (AP) - One person was injured in a fire that caused an estimated $25,000 in damage to a Fargo apartment building.

Fire officials say the blaze late Thursday afternoon started in a basement apartment, and firefighters quickly put it out.

The two occupants of the apartment made it outside on their own. One was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

None of the other apartment units were occupied.

Officials say fire damage was confined to the basement apartment, but there was smoke damage on the building’s second and third floors. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.
