NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say three homes were struck when two men opened fire on a crowd in New Castle.

It happened about 11:15 a.m. Thursday on New Castle Avenue. Troopers say who were walking on the street, pulled out handguns and fired into a group of several people. The people scattered and the gunmen ran away.

Police say some bullets hit three residences in the area. No one in the crowd or the homes was hurt.
