LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) - A town cemetery in Rockingham County is running out of space, leaving officials scrambling to find more room for the area’s deceased.

Londonderry administrative support coordinator Steve Cotton tells The Eagle-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1MIK6SN ) the cost for expanding Pillsbury Cemetery would be approximately $75,000.

Cotton says the Hovey Road cemetery only has 130 empty burial plots remaining. The town sells around 20 plots each year.

With projections indicating that the cemetery will run out of space within five years, town officials have added the expansion project to a budget list for next year’s proposed numbers.

Land donated to Londonderry as part of the Woodmont Commons development project would be used to expand the cemetery.
