RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Christmas tree from Floyd County will find a new home in the governor’s Executive Mansion.

WDBJ-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1NRoxNs ) that the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association picked Rifton Farm and Nursey to present this year’s tree for the state’s first family. The farm was chosen at the group’s annual meeting in Roanoke.

Robert O’Keefe, the owner of the farm, chose a 14-year-old Canaan Fir for the Execution Mansion. This is the first year Rifton Farm and Nursey has won the award and O’Keefe says he’s very proud.
