PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say two people have been arrested after robbing two men at gunpoint and then leading police on a high-speed chase.

The Phoenix Police Department says a man and a woman approached two men sitting in their car around 1:30 a.m. Friday and asked for a ride. Officers say that when the men refused to provide a ride, the woman pulled out a gun and demanded their cell phones and vehicle.

Police say they found the suspects with the stolen vehicle about three hours later, but the pair sped away on Interstate 10.

Authorities say the pair hit a semi-truck at I-10 and 7th Avenue and ran from the car, but were quickly caught and taken into custody.
