SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - Police and sheriff’s officials say they have identified a suspect in a woman’s fatal stabbing in northwest Ohio.

Officials from the Perkins Township police and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office say an intoxicated man who was hospitalized in Toledo with cut wounds on his hand has been identified as a suspect in the death of the 22-year-old woman found dead Wednesday.

The woman was found in an apartment in the township south of Sandusky. Perkins Township police say the suspect formerly dated the victim and lived in the apartment where the woman was found.

Township Police Chief Ken Klamar said the woman had a Marblehead address but had been staying with her sister in Wadsworth since breaking up with the suspect.
