HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Cordillera Communications, which owns seven CBS-affiliated television stations in Montana, has purchased NBC affiliates in Helena and Great Falls.

The deal with Gray Television Group Inc. includes the purchase of KTVH in Helena, KBGF in Great Falls along with Helena’s CW station and the ktvh.com website. The stations will join the Montana Television Network, which includes KTVQ in Billings, KPAX in Missoula, KRTV in Great Falls, KXLH in Helena, KXLF in Butte, KBZK in Bozeman and KAJ in Kalispell.

Jon Saunders, vice president of Minnesota-based Cordillera and group manager of the MTN stations, said Tuesday that KTVH will continue to produce its weekday newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. KBGF will simulcast those newscasts.

KXLH also offers 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts daily, along with weekday morning newscasts.
