ERIE, Pa. (AP) - The president of Edinboro University is making about as big a move as one can make - geographically, at least - in Pennsylvania.

Julie Wollmer is leaving as president at Edinboro, located in the state’s northwestern corner, to take the same job at Widener University near Philadelphia, in the state’s southeastern corner.

Wolman has been president at Edinboro since June 2012.

The schools announced her last day at Edinboro will be Jan. 18, with her first day at Widener on Jan. 19.

Wollman is replacing interim Widener president Steven Wilhite, who has headed Widener since August after James Harris III left to become president of the University of San Diego.

Wollman will be Widener’s 10th president. The private university located in Chester was founded in 1821.
