RACINE, Wis. (AP) - A Racine man is accused of beating a child with a clothes hanger for failing to return from trick-or-treating with enough candy.

Brian Blair is being held on $2,000 cash bond in Racine County where he’s charged with child abuse and possessing cocaine. A criminal complaint accuses Blair of repeated beatings of the girl and her sister. Authorities say Blair is related to the girls.

Prosecutors say one of the girls told police Blair hit her with a hanger on Halloween when she failed to collect enough candy. The Journal Times (https://bit.ly/1Q8AjrO ) reports the girl’s sister told police Blair repeatedly hit her with a hanger and pulled her hair earlier that evening.

The complaint says police found cocaine in Blair’s pocket when they arrested him. Online court records do not list a defense attorney.
