SAN DIEGO (AP) - San Diego police are hunting for a killer who gunned down two men and wounded a woman in a car.

Police say those three and another woman were driving through a parking lot on El Cajon Boulevard after midnight Sunday when they stopped next to a group of men standing near a light pole and there was an argument.

Police say at least one man walked up to the car and opened fire.

Twenty-seven-year-old Deon Peterson and 26-year-old Joseph Ponder of Oceanside died at the scene.

Authorities say the woman remains hospitalized but her wounds are not life-threatening.
