ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - All politics were local on an Election Day in Minnesota without any statewide races.

Local offices and school board spots are on the ballot in communities across Minnesota. The Secretary of State’s office says 28 cities are holding municipal elections.

The only election with a broader reach is in the Golden Valley area, where Democratic candidate Peggy Flanagan ran unopposed for a Minnesota House seat to replace departed DFL Rep. Ryan Winkler. It won’t affect the balance of power in the Legislature.

Minnesota Public Radio News (https://bit.ly/1M9xscT ) says 110 school levies are before voters in dozens of districts. Fifty-three school districts will ask voters to approve new operating levies or renew current ones that help pay for teacher salaries, utility bills and other basics.
