PROVO, Utah (AP) - Geologists say a small earthquake recently rattled a few cities near Provo.

The Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/20rt6Y9 ) that the U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.9 magnitude quake hit Mapleton and Spanish Fork early Monday morning.

The USGS says the epicenter was about four miles from Mapleton, near Spanish Fork Peak. The organization says there have been no reports of damage.

Mapleton resident Katie Muzquiz told the Herald that she initially thought construction workers near her house were getting an early start.

She says the shaking only lasted a few seconds.
