SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who police say agreed to act as a woman’s designated driver on Halloween has been jailed on charges that he raped her after she passed out drunk.
The 27-year-old woman went to Somerset Hospital on Sunday and told authorities she had been raped by 19-year-old Jay Edward Cable, of Somerset.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Cable who remained jailed Tuesday. But police say Cable told them he had sex with the woman three times before they fell asleep and a fourth time after they woke up Sunday, but before he drove her home.
But the woman tells police she told Cable he was not “getting any” when he picked her up Saturday night. She contends she passed out and woke up to find Cable having sex with her.
