ASHEBORO, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in Randolph County say a suspect wanted in the death of a Siler City man has been found dead near U.S. 421 in rural Randolph County.

Randolph County Sheriff’s Lt. R.J. Chabot said 21-year-old Francisco Rivas Galves-Huezo was found dead on Friday after deputies responded to a 911 call concerning unidentified remains.

Chabot said Tuesday that Galves-Huezo was reported missing by his girlfriend on Oct. 24, the same day Brenes’ remains were found near the edge of a wood line just outside the Siler City city limits.

According to Chabot, an autopsy performed on Galves-Huezo showed that he suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.

Galves-Huezo was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the death of Esau Abraham Brenes.
