JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Officials in northeastern Arkansas say two children were killed and a man was injured in a residential fire in Jonesboro.

A statement from the Jonesboro Police Department says firefighters were dispatched to the residence, a duplex, just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Craighead County Coroner Toby Emerson told television station KAIT that the children who died were both younger than 5. The nature of the man’s injuries weren’t immediately known.

The building’s landlord, Charles Warren, told the station he was not worried about the property, just concerned about the victims.

Fire Chief Kevin Miller says a cause of the fire has not been determined.
