DELAND, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two dogs are dead following a central Florida house fire.

Volusia County Fire Services reports that firefighters responded to the DeLand home around noon Tuesday. The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://goo.gl/ISrMmR ) reports that the fire was limited to one room, but smoke filled the entire home.

Officials say no humans were home at the time of the blaze, but the dogs succumbed to smoke inhalation.
