MORE LAWSUITS FILED BY THE FAMILY OF CREWMEMBERS ABOARD SUNKEN CARGO SHIP EL FARO

Attorney Kurt Arnold filed a lawsuit Tuesday on behalf of the son of Howard John Schoenly, who was among the 33 sailors who went down with the El Faro when it sank Oct. 1. On Monday, attorneys for five Polish crewmembers also filed suit.

Local media reported the Lake City couple pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony child abuse and neglect charges. Their trial had been scheduled for January. The shooting occurred on Jan. 5 while the parents were away.
