MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) - Police have released the names of two passengers who died after an SUV crashed through the wall of a Michigan school that was closed for the night.

The crash occurred after 2 a.m. Tuesday at Midland Academy.

Police say 37-year-old William Gregory of Saginaw and 33-year-old Miguel Chapa of Bay City died in the crash. The 35-year-old Saginaw man driving the Jeep Liberty survived and WSGW-AM reports authorities are considering whether he’ll face charges.

The Jeep went off the road and flattened trees before crossing a parking lot in Midland. WNEM-TV reports classes were canceled for a second consecutive day Wednesday due to damage to the school.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
