DAVIDSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A 15-year-old former student is facing juvenile court charges for allegedly threatening to “shoot people up” at a western Pennsylvania high school football game.

The charges announced Tuesday stem from an incident before Friday’s football game involving Conemaugh Township Area High School, about 55 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

School Superintendent T. J. Kakabar says the boy attended the school until he dropped out in September and enrolled in a cyber-school.

Students saw threats the boy made on the social media site SoundCloud and in text messages and told their principal Friday afternoon.

Authorities considered canceling the game, but the boy was taken into custody before that was necessary.

The boy remains in custody and faces a juvenile court hearing Thursday in Somerset County.
