EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A crash in East Providence sent a parked car rolling into a pedestrian.

Police say it happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They say a 26-year-old man lost control of the car and it rolled over, hitting a parked car.

That car was then pushed onto the sidewalk, where it struck a 27-year-old woman who happened to be walking by.

The woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The driver, 26-year-old Daniel Major, of East Providence, was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say they are investigating.
