DENVER (AP) - A man charged in a crash that killed a pedestrian in Wheat Ridge has been convicted of vehicular homicide and DUI.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/6CUXjv ) jurors convicted 59-year-old Robert John McGhee for the Nov. 23 death of 48-year-old John Robert Gilmore, of Wheat Ridge. McGhee faces up to 12 years in prison when he is sentenced Jan. 11.

Gilmore was walking home from his first day of work at a new job when he was hit by a vehicle driven by McGhee. McGhee’s blood alcohol level was 0.14 percent, almost twice the legal limit for driving.
