BLUFFTON, Ind. (AP) - The father of a northeastern Indiana toddler who died of blunt force trauma in a case linked to drug use has been arrested on drug-trafficking charges.

Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Collings of Bluffton was arrested Monday night on charges of dealing a controlled substance and dealing synthetic drugs.

WANE-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1l7QM3K ) Collins was among five people arrested this week in a sweep by the law enforcement agencies.

Collins was being held in the Wells County jail. It wasn’t clear whether he has attorney.

The burned body of his son, 3-year-old Owen Collins, was found in January. The boyfriend of the boy’s mother is serving a 50-year sentence for murder in the case. He admitted using methamphetamine with the boy’s mother on the night the boy died. Charges against the mother are pending.
