HOULTON, Maine (AP) - A Maine man will serve 10 years in jail after pleading guilty in connection with a large quantity of a hallucinogenic drug was seized from his Woodland home.

Authorities say 45-year-old Lance Elison pleaded guilty Wednesday in Aroostook County Superior Court to aggravated drug trafficking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was sentenced to serve all 10 years and ordered to forfeit nearly $29,000 in cash seized from his home in February of 2014. Maine drug task force agents also seized nearly two kilograms of a hallucinogenic drug commonly referred to as “bath salts” and two guns.

Authorities say Elison was believed to be a major dealer of “bath salts” in Aroostook County.
