IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Am 18-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in connection to a fatal stabbing at an Idaho Falls park,

The Post Register reports (https://bit.ly/1NPSzno ) that Brian Mitchell entered his plea in Bonneville County court Tuesday. His jury trial was set for April 4.

Mitchell is accused of stabbing 31-year-old Deraek Larson at the Tautphaus Park. Larson’s body was found stabbed more than 20 times on Aug. 16.

Mitchell’s attorney has previously said the stabbing was in self-defense, as Larson made unwanted sexual advances toward him.

Mitchell will remain jailed on a $500,000 bond.
