PHOENIX (AP) - A man suspected in a road-rage shooting last month along Interstate 17 north of Phoenix is in custody.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say 38-year-old Eric Carreon was arrested Wednesday.

The Phoenix man is being held on suspicion of endangerment, aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, criminal damage and methamphetamine possession.

It’s unclear if Carreon has a lawyer.

DPS says a pickup truck unsuccessfully tried to pass a car twice on I-17 about 5 a.m. on Oct. 31.

After the second attempt, the driver of the car says the truck driver fired two rounds with one bullet hitting his vehicle’s right front wheel area.

The driver escaped injury and gave authorities information about the shooter and his truck.

DPS says Carreon was positively identified by the victim in a photo lineup.
