SEATTLE (AP) - Police say they arrested a man with a backpack full of heroin after he threatened another man with a gun in downtown Seattle.

Seattle Police said in a news release Wednesday that officers were called just before 5 p.m. Tuesday about a disturbance outside a restaurant. A man told officers the suspect approached him and opened his jacket, showing him a handgun.

The suspect reportedly threatened to shoot the man and then left in a car.

The man was spotted by officers on bicycles about an hour later. He allegedly tried to run but officers caught up with him easily and arrested him.

Police say the 44-year-old man had over seven grams of heroin in 74 packages.
