BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Brattleboro Retreat private psychiatric hospital says a New York native with years of experience in the health care world will be its next president.

The Retreat announced Tuesday that Louis Josephson will start on March 1, after he moves to Vermont from Los Angeles.

He is coming to the Retreat from Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Josephson served as president of Riverbend Community Mental Health in Concord, New Hampshire.

Josephson will replace Robert Simpson who is stepping down at year-end after nearly a decade as the Retreat’s president.
