WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Purdue University plans a new home for the school’s recreational sports teams and student farm.

The school said Tuesday in a news release that a new complex about a mile from campus will house recreational soccer, lacrosse, rugby, cricket and many other teams. Over the summer the school relocated its intramural field where many teams played to a location about 2 miles from campus.

The student-run farm also will relocate to new land with storage, restrooms and on-site parking. The parking could make it possible for roadside sales of produce.

The (Lafayette) Journal and Courier reports (https://on.jconline.com/1Nr1AVu ) the relocations were done to make way for development.
