FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A longtime federal prosecutor in North Dakota has been promoted.

Keith Reisenauer has been named first assistant U.S. attorney, which makes him second in command to U.S. Attorney Christopher Myers.

Reisenauer is a Mandan native who earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Dakota. He has been a federal prosecutor since 1991.

Reisenauer served as assistant Cass County state’s attorney from 1983-91.
