MIAMI (AP) - Authorities say a student was found with a loaded gun at a Miami high school.

Police say they went to Miami Jackson Senior High School Wednesday to arrest the 17-year-old boy on a separate weapons charge and then discovered the firearm during a pat-down.

Authorities say the teen was riding in a car Sunday when the driver hit a bicyclist. Police say the teen got out of the car and pointed a gun at the bicyclist.

The Miami Herald (https://goo.gl/ke3RFM ) reports that the teen was already facing charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and using a weapon while committing a felony. He will likely face additional charges of having a gun on school grounds.
