BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Police say a video crew filming an interview with a retired Alcatraz prison guard near the Berkeley Marina was robbed at gunpoint of their camera and tripod, the latest in a string of robberies against video crews in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Oakland Tribune reports (https://bayareane.ws/1Nf8qsJ ) none of the three people who were part of a private production company were injured.

Berkeley police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Coats said two men, one armed with a gun approached the Hoff Productions crew, ordered them to the ground and took their equipment.

The two robbers put the equipment in a vehicle driven by a third man and they all drove away.

At least a dozen news crews have been robbed over the last four years in the San Francisco Bay Area.
