NELSON, Neb. (AP) - A southern Nebraska prosecutor has added another county to her daily workload.

The Hastings Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1QbzSgl ) that Webster County Attorney Sara Bockstadter took office Monday as the Nuckolls County attorney. She will divide her time between the two counties.

Bockstadter was hired by the Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners to fill the remaining three years of Tim Schmidt’s term in office. Schmidt cited health issues when he retired effective Sept. 15 and died Sept. 25. He was 64.

Bockstadter has been the Webster County attorney since July 2012, when she replaced the retiring Jerry McDole. She was elected to the position in in 2014.
