FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve found the body of a suburban Detroit fisherman who was reported missing last month from Sterling State Park.

The Monroe County sheriff’s department says the body of 53-year-old Stanley Eliot Moore of Inkster was found Wednesday in Lake Erie about 100 feet from the shoreline of the park in Frenchtown Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

Moore was reported missing by family on Oct. 25. The shoreline near where his body was found is near a channel where his fishing gear was found.

An autopsy is planned to determine cause of death.
