CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say a Camden County jail guard accessed a law enforcement database to obtain information about a drug probe that involved someone he knew.

Authorities have charged 39-year-old Jamall Danford of Winslow Township with official misconduct.

Officials say the jail guard had a close association with 38-year-old Harold “Killer Clown” Miller of Camden. Prosecutors say Danford traveled to Las Vegas with Miller and others in June and accessed the database between August and October.

Federal authorities in September charged Miller and five others with conspiring to distribute cocaine and heroin through an open-air drug market in Camden.

Danford has been suspended without pay.

It’s not known if he has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.
