BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A 34-year-old western New York man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for providing the drug mixture that led to a man’s death two years ago.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo says Peter Militello of Buffalo was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release following his guilty plea last spring to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of fentanyl and heroin.

Authorities say Militello was selling heroin in Buffalo when he sold a fentanyl and heroin mixture to a local man who was found dead in his home by family members several hours later.

Prosecutors say an autopsy found that the man died as a result of acute intoxication from the drug mixture.
