SANDERS, Ariz. (AP) - Interstate 40 has reopened in northeastern Arizona after being closed in both directions about 20 miles west of the Arizona-New Mexico line because of fallen power lines.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the lines fell late Thursday morning and the highway was reopened early Thursday afternoon after crews put the lines back in place.

The closure was near the Apache County community of Sanders.
