WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) - Glacial Lakes Rubber and Plastics is getting ready to move into a 30,000-square-foot building within Watertown’s Pheasant Ridge Industrial Park.

The state Board of Economic Development business last month approved a Revolving Economic Development and Initiative Fund loan to help the company relocate from its former location, which it has outgrown.

Company president and CEO Robb Peterson says expansion into a bigger facility will allow the company to grow and add up to 50 full-time employees over the next several years.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard says Peterson stepped up to the plate after Minnesota Rubber closed in 2014.

Glacial Lakes Rubber and Plastics will transition into the new facility over the next few weeks.
