HAILEYVILLE, Okla. (AP) - Haileyville authorities say a city worker has died from injuries he suffered while working on waterlines.

The McAlester News-Capital (https://bit.ly/20xL1N1 ) reports 60-year-old Roland Letourneau died Wednesday.

Mayor Sean Dawson said in a statement to the newspaper that two city employees, including Letourneau, were looking for a leak in a waterline, when a hole the two apparently dug caved in. The mayor said Letourneau got stuck.

Letourneau was taken to McAlester Regional Health Center and then taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he died.
