WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - A Wilmington man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after his conviction for human trafficking.

The StarNews of Wilmington reports (https://bit.ly/1Opt8Mx) 26-year-old Randolph Johnson Spain was found guilty in January of two counts of transporting individuals in interstate commerce with intent that such individual engage in prostitution.

Prosecutors say that two women said Spain took them to various cities where they were forced into prostitution.

During a hearing Wednesday, a U.S. District Court judge sentenced Spain to 10 years on each count, to be served consecutively.

The judge also ordered 10 years of supervised probation upon Spain’s release.
