COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Gov. John Kasich (KAY’-sik) is back on the campaign trail this week as he tries to gain some traction in the race for the White House.

Kasich’s campaign says he’s returning to the early primary state of New Hampshire for campaign stops on Thursday and Friday. He campaigned in Mississippi on Wednesday.

On Thursday he’ll speak at a Rotary Club luncheon in Greenland, New Hampshire, before participating in town hall meetings at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and in Londonderry.

On Friday he plans to file for the primary ballot in Concord before participating in a town hall meeting in Hopkinton.

Kasich still is struggling to break out of a crowded Republican presidential field. The primary is Feb. 9.
