CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The first snowstorm of the season caused slick driving conditions in much of Wyoming on Thursday morning.

Black ice plagued a 50-mile stretch of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie as well as sections of I-25 and I-90.

U.S. 287 between Laramie and the Colorado border was closed into Thursday morning because of winter conditions.

Snowfall ranged from an inch in many lower elevation areas to around a foot in some high mountain ranges.
