NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Officials say a southwest Florida high school teacher died during a Caribbean cruise.

Carnival Cruise Lines told the Naples Daily News (https://goo.gl/dXyLg8 ) that 51-year-old Scarlett LaVite died during a snorkeling excursion Tuesday in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos. The cause of death wasn’t immediately released.

LaVite was a drama teacher at Gulf Coast High School in Collier County.
