UPPER FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 17-year-old girl was killed when her car crashed into a tree on the side of Interstate 95.

State police say the girl lost control of her Toyota Camry around 11 a.m. in the left lane of the highway in Upper Freehold. The car ran off the right side of the highway and drove into the woods.

The teen’s name wasn’t released pending her family being identified.

No one else was in the vehicle.
