LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police are investigating two calls of disturbances with a weapon that resulted in a shooting at a residence.

The Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1PemicW ) that authorities were called to the home shortly before 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

Police spokesman Michelle Hill said a man wielding a weapon got into an argument with a woman at one address before walking over to another house in the neighborhood. A resident at the second house shot the man outside after he walked onto the property holding a concrete block.

Policy say the man may have been under the influence of narcotics. He was transported to an area hospital for a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.

Hill says the man is expected to be charged with aggravated assault.
