ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Bomb squad training in southern Utah had some St. George residents hearing loud booms.

The St. George Spectrum reports (https://bit.ly/1NhlOfX ) reports that the Utah Bomb Squad Task Force hosted the training event at the site of the city’s old airport.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says more than 30 bomb technicians from across the state were expected to participate in Thursday’s Large Vehicle Bomb Counter Measures course.
