HILLSBORO, Texas (AP) - In a story Nov. 5, The Associated Press reported that a former Texas sheriff who pleaded guilty to felony records tampering would have his charge expunged if he completes four years of probation. The story should have made clear that the case against former Hill County Sheriff Michael Cox would be listed as dismissed under his record. A separate petition process is required for the entire case record to be expunged.
