MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A man accused of using a stolen gun to fire at least eight bullets into a vehicle in Minot as it was traveling on a residential road has pleaded not guilty to various charges.
The attorney for 33-year-old DeAlvis Harris says Harris was acting in self-defense after being stabbed in the Sept. 22 incident. Prosecutors say Harris’ actions amount to retaliation, not self-defense.
Harris is charged with felony aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of stolen property, along with a misdemeanor drug-related count. He could face up to 21 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
