GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - A 27-year-old man involved in a head-on crash south of Gillette that killed a passenger in the other car has been sentenced to six to 16 years in prison.

The Gillette News Record reports (https://goo.gl/doIb1p ) Robert Reese, of Fort Collins, Colorado, was sentenced Thursday for the Sept. 20, 2014, crash that killed 29-year-old Chad Nobach, of Gillette.

Investigators say Reese was intoxicated and driving in the wrong lane of Highway 59 when his vehicle crashed head-on with one driven by Braydon Donahoo, who was seriously injured.

Reese said he had no memory of the crash, so the state could not accept a guilty plea. He pleaded no contest to aggravated vehicular homicide.

Reese’s blood-alcohol level was 0.25 percent, more than three times the legal limit for driving.
